Still using physical SIM data
If you notice your home carrier is being charged for data, or your evwala data isn’t being used, your phone’s data line is set to the wrong SIM.
Fix: Set evwala as the data line
Section titled “Fix: Set evwala as the data line”iPhone
Section titled “iPhone”- Go to Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data.
- Select your evwala eSIM (not your home SIM).
- Go back, tap the evwala eSIM line, and confirm Data Roaming is on.
Android
Section titled “Android”- Go to Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs.
- Tap Mobile data and select your evwala eSIM.
- Tap the evwala eSIM and confirm Roaming is on.
Samsung
Section titled “Samsung”- Go to Settings → Connections → SIM Manager.
- Under Mobile data, select your evwala eSIM.
- Go to Mobile Networks and confirm Data Roaming is on.
Disable data roaming on your home SIM
Section titled “Disable data roaming on your home SIM”To prevent your home carrier from being used for data:
- iPhone: Settings → Cellular → tap your home SIM → Data Roaming → Off
- Android: Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → tap home SIM → Roaming → Off
- Samsung: Leave Data Roaming on globally, but set Mobile Data to your evwala eSIM only.
