No data connection
If your evwala eSIM is installed but you have no internet, work through these steps in order.
Step 1: Check Data Roaming is on
Section titled “Step 1: Check Data Roaming is on”This is the most common cause. Data Roaming must be enabled on the evwala eSIM line.
- iPhone: Settings → Cellular → tap evwala eSIM → Data Roaming → On
- Android: Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → evwala eSIM → Roaming → On
- Samsung: Settings → Connections → Mobile Networks → Data Roaming → On
Step 2: Check the correct data line is selected
Section titled “Step 2: Check the correct data line is selected”Make sure mobile data is set to use the evwala eSIM, not your home SIM.
- iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data → select evwala eSIM
- Android: Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → Mobile data → select evwala eSIM
- Samsung: Settings → Connections → SIM Manager → Mobile data → select evwala eSIM
Step 3: Toggle Airplane Mode
Section titled “Step 3: Toggle Airplane Mode”Turn Airplane Mode on, wait 10 seconds, then turn it off. This forces your phone to reconnect to the network.
Step 4: Restart your phone
Section titled “Step 4: Restart your phone”A full restart clears network caches and re-establishes connections.
Step 5: Check network selection
Section titled “Step 5: Check network selection”If you’re still not connecting, try selecting the network manually:
- iPhone: Settings → Cellular → tap evwala eSIM → Network Selection → turn off Automatic → select a network manually.
- Android/Samsung: Settings → Network & Internet (or Connections) → Mobile Networks → Network Operators → Select manually.
Choose any available network. If one doesn’t work, try another.
