Install eSIM on iOS

After purchasing your eSIM via WhatsApp, you’ll receive a QR code. Follow these steps to install it on your iPhone.

Before you begin

• Make sure your iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi
• Have the QR code ready — either on another screen or printed out
• Your iPhone must be running iOS 12.1 or later

Steps

1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
2. Tap Cellular (or Mobile Data in some regions).
3. Tap Add eSIM.
4. Tap Use QR Code.
5. Point your camera at the QR code we sent you in WhatsApp. Your iPhone will detect it automatically.
6. Tap Continue when prompted.
7. Tap Add Cellular Plan.
8. When asked to label the plan, choose Travel or any label you prefer.
9. When asked which line to use for cellular data, select your evwala eSIM.

Can’t scan the QR code?

If you received the QR code on the same iPhone, you can’t scan it with the camera. Instead, press and hold the QR code image in WhatsApp, then tap Open in Settings — iOS will offer to install the eSIM directly.
