Install eSIM on Android

After purchasing your eSIM via WhatsApp, you’ll receive a QR code. Follow these steps to install it on your Android phone.

Before you begin

• Make sure your phone is connected to Wi-Fi
• Have the QR code ready — either on another screen or printed out
• Your phone must be running Android 10 or later

Steps

1. Open Settings on your phone.
2. Tap Network & Internet (or Connections on some devices).
3. Tap SIMs (or SIM cards).
4. Tap Add SIM or the + icon.
5. Tap Download a SIM instead (or Use QR code).
6. Point your camera at the QR code we sent you in WhatsApp.
7. Tap Download when prompted.
8. Wait for the eSIM to install — this takes a few seconds.
9. Tap Done.

Menu names vary

Android manufacturers use different names for the same settings. If you can’t find “SIMs” or “Network & Internet,” try searching for “eSIM” in your Settings app.
